Krita Install Process

You can install Krita in a number of ways. The simplest process is to use the Ubuntu Software Center.

Open Ubuntu Software Center and do a search on Krita:

Click on Krita and follow the prompts to install the Krita.

To install Krita via PPA open terminal via menu or via keys CLT+ALT+T.

Then type:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kritalime/ppa

This will enable the PPA for Krita in your system.

Next you have to update the system before install. With the command below you will update the repositories.

sudo apt update

After update you can install Krita via the command below:

sudo apt install krita

Once installed you can start the application from your Desktop Menu.
